Guests / visitors - non students

If you have a guest or visitor who will be coming to the Observatory, please check what actions you need to take.
For guests visiting the Observatory for a maximum of 7 days, no registration is required.
In case the visitor is coming for the purpose of a scientific meeting, a job application or a workshop and also needs facilities like a desk and computer account, please send an email to secretaries@strw.leidenuniv.nl at least 1 week prior to the visit. Please indicate in the mail which facilities are needed.

For Dutch / EU guests who are visiting the Observatory for 7 – 30 days, registration in our guest management system is required. Please send a mail to secretaries@strw.leidenuniv.nl to notify the secretariat about this visit and the secretariat will take care of the registration. Please send the mail at least 1 month prior to the visit.

For Dutch / EU guests who are visiting the Observatory for longer than 30 days, registration with HR is required. Please send an email secretaries@strw.leidenuniv.nl to notify the secretariat at least 1 month prior to the visit – the secretariat will take care of the registration via the service portal of the Personal Shared Service Center (PSSC). The PSSC will contact the visitor by email and will ask to upload their CV and a copy of their ID. Information about the visitor’s home address is also required.

For NON-EU guests who are visiting the Observatory for 7 days or longer, registration with HR is required. Please send an email to secretaries@strw.leidenuniv.nl to notify the secretariat at least 1 month prior to the visit – the secretariat will take care of the registration in the service portal of the Personal Shared Service Center. The PSSC will contact the visitor by email and will ask to upload their CV and a copy of their ID. Information about the visitor’s home address is also required.
