CSST-Euclid-Roman Workshop

from 21 June 2021 through 25 June 2021

Workshop Description

With the new generation of large surveys coming online, we will soon witness orders of magnitude increase in data volume covering broad wavelength ranges. This will allow us to probe the Universe with unprecedented precision to address a wide range of fundamental questions from cosmology to extrasolar planets.

Among these surveys, Euclid, Roman Space Telescope (Roman), and Chinese Survey Space Telescope (CSST) are three space missions all to be launched within next five years or so. With overlapping science goals and similar image quality, they have different designs with different wavelength coverage, and thus are very complementary to each other. The aim of this workshop is to explore the aspects that we can possibly plan ahead so that when the opportunity arises, the data from the three can be best used to maximize the science return.

The workshop will take place online from June 21 to 25, 2021, and consists of pre-recorded overview talks, and online sessions about data management/processing/ways of data combination, survey strategies, end-to-end mock simulations, and science topics. Because of the time constraints, the presentations will be by invitation only, but then followed by extensive discussions in each session.

We sincerely look forward to your participation and contributions to the workshop. For registration, please click here.

The deadline for registration is June 15, 2021 23:59 CEST.
