: PhD candidate Julia Santos accepts the 51 Pegasi b Fellowship
Thu 3 Apr 2025; PhD candidate Julia Santos has accepted the prestigious 51 Pegasi b Fellowship and will conduct her postdoctoral research at Harvard University. Her work combines submillimeter and infrared observations with laboratory experiments using cryogenic vacuum apparatuses to investigate the physicochemical processes occurring in the icy mantles that coat interstellar dust grains. By studying these processes, she aims to understand how they shape the chemical ingredients available for forming planets and planetesimals.
